ALTERITY [ENG]

The exhibition examines the concept of “Alterity” ( usually understood as the entity in contrast to which an identity is constructed. It means the ability to distinguish between self and non-self, and consequently to assume the existence of an alternative viewpoint) As a whole, the works form a prototype of a conceptualized identity. They present a pulsation between the self, the other and the external factors that are used to construct a sense of individuality.

“Core” (den del som är väsentlig för någontings existens eller karaktär) kretsar kring begreppet identitet och hur identiteten bevaras. Verkhelheten undersöker identifiering med utgångspunkt i kontrasterna mellan bilder och visuell återgivning. Tillsammans skapar verken en prototyp till en konstruerad identitet. De representerar en pulsering mellan jaget och de andra, samt de yttre faktorerna som används för att skapa känslan av individualitet.

Core (eli ydin, keskeinen osa jonkin asian olemassaoloa tai olemusta) keskittyy identiteetin konseptiin ja säilyttämiseen. Näyttelyn teokset tarkastelevat identifikaatiota kuvien ja visuaalisten uudelleenluomisten välisen kontrastin kautta. Kokonaisuutena teokset muodostavat käsitteellistetyn identiteetin prototyypin. Ne saavat aikaan värähtelyä minän, toisen ja ulkoisten tekijöiden välillä, joista rakentuu yksilöllisyyden tunne.

“Core”(the part of something that is central to its existence or character) revolves around the concept of identity and its preservation. This body of work examines identification through the clash of images and visual re-creations. As a whole, the works form a prototype of a conceptualized identity. They present a pulsation between the self, the other and the external factors that are used to construct a sense of individuality.

COEXISTENCIA [ESP]

La apariencia y la realidad son dos conceptos que, desde los albores de la Filosofía, han sido objeto de reflexión para los pensadores. Sin embargo, creo que, tanto la una como la otra, nunca habían estado tan diluidas, tan indefinidas, como en el tiempo presente, donde resulta casi imposible discernirlas.
